On 24 April 2025 Toyota Australia provided the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, and the Arts with an Enforceable Undertaking. Toyota Australia approached the Department after identifying an error in the data entered onto the Register of Approved Vehicles for certain Prado vehicles distributed by Toyota Australia.
In accordance with the terms of the Enforceable Undertaking, Toyota Australia is currently undertaking a review of its systems and processes directed towards ensuring there are no further potential non-compliances with the Road Vehicle Standards Act. Any identified remediation steps will be actioned as a matter of priority.
