Getting in and out of the cab is now easier than ever thanks to a lower, wider front doorstep on both the driver and passenger side.
For maximum space and convenience, HiAce LWB van fits up to 6.2 cubic metres of cargo. For even greater carrying capacity, the SLWB van comes with 9.3 cubic metres of cargo space.
Select HiAce grades now offer double swing ‘barn’ doors at rear. Especially handy when your work calls for more clearance around the cargo area.
Performance
We’ve improved our 2.8L turbo diesel to bring you a smoother, more powerful workhorse. HiAce now sits the driver behind the engine bay, rather than on top, so you can enjoy a quieter cabin with less vibration and more stability all round.

Even the smallest accident can be a costly experience for you and your team, which is why we've equipped HiAce LWB with improved safety technology, enhanced visibility and impact-absorbing structure.

PCS utilises the HiAce’s front-mounted camera and radar. The system is designed to warn you of possible frontal collisions, with the added advantage of automatic emergency braking. Intended for daytime cyclist and daytime-nighttime pedestrian and vehicle detection.
The HiAce’s ACC utilises the built-in camera and radar monitor, to help automatically adjust your travelling speed. It means safer distances between your HiAce and other vehicles, and makes changing lanes a less daunting task. The manual transmission HiAce features High-Speed ACC designed for speeds of 50km or higher, while automatic features All Speed ACC (not available on SLWB Commuter and Commuter GL grades).
On nighttime drives, the HiAce’s built-in sensors can detect the head lights of oncoming vehicles. This allows the system to automatically switch from high beam to low beam, enhancing the safety for other drivers by reducing glare.
While in motion, If no driver inputs are detected after a time, audible warnings will sound to alert the driver. If the EDDS still doesn't detect inputs, the system will bring the vehicle to a gradual stop in the safety lane and activate the hazard lights. It will also unlock the doors, in case emergency assistance is required (not available on SLWB Commuter and Commuter GL grades).
While the vehicle is parked, Safe Exist Essist is designed to utilise inbuilt read and side sensors to detect approaching vehicles. It will then use sounds and side mirror illumination to alert occupants within the vehicle before they step onto the road, for safer exits (not available on SLWB Commuter and Commuter GL grades).
We’ve re-engineered the exterior frame to help absorb the initial shock associated with a collision. Not only is this designed to protect you, it is also designed to reduce the damage to whatever’s in your cargo area.
