We have never offered a hybrid version of the All-New Corolla Sedan before but with the technology we first started developing more than 20 years ago, it delivers such a great balance of performance and fuel efficiency, that we are rolling it out across a whole range of new vehicles.
You can now get our advanced petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain in Camry, Prius, Corolla, and the All-New RAV4 that’s arriving soon… with more to come.
It’s the same underpinnings as the new Corolla Hatch that arrived last year that has drawn so much praise, so you know it’s going to be good.
In the All-New Corolla hybrid Sedan, a high compression 1.8-litre petrol engine combined with two electric motor generators drive the front wheels through a sophisticated and efficient.
More performance can be found in the new hi-tech 2.0-litre petrol engine, which, with 125kW of power, has 21 per cent more than the current Corolla Sedan. It too drives through a CVT that features a unique “launch” gear providing a better low-down response with 10 sequential shift steps to provide powerful and smooth off-the-line acceleration. It also has the option of a six-speed manual gearbox as well.
The All-New Corolla Sedan’s low, wide stance also gives it a distinctly sporty look that is matched by a new-found driving excitement, thanks to the Toyota New Generation Architecture (TNGA) platform with completely revised front and rear suspension.
Combining a stiffer chassis, lower centre of gravity and improved front and rear balance, the All-New Corolla Sedan delivers a fun-to-drive attitude with agile and nimble handling to complement its athletic styling.
And of course, we have not forgotten safety features that come with advanced driver assistance and occupant protection technology all standard.
Confident, stylish and dynamic, the new Corolla Sedan is unlike any before.
